Skilled trades work
Trades hiring splits cleanly into two things that look similar in a search and are not: roles wanting someone already licensed, and apprenticeships wanting someone who is not.
Searching the trade alone returns both. Adding the word apprentice, or reading for it in the posting, is the difference between applying for the job you can get and the one you cannot yet.

Licences and where they apply
Electrical and plumbing licences are issued by state and sometimes by city, and they do not automatically transfer if you move. A posting asking for a state licence means that state's licence.
Apprenticeships are the standard way in and are advertised as jobs, not as courses. They pay from the start and the training is on the job.
What gets read on your application
Tools you have used, systems you have worked on, and whether you hold a driving licence — many trades roles are mobile between sites. Say which of these you have plainly and near the top.
